U7 Pre-Academy

The philosophy of the Pre-Academy is to give players increased opportunities for skill building and tactical understanding as they make their way through 4v4 soccer towards the 7v7 game. 

The Pre-Academy is designed to run alongside our recreational program allowing players to experience the joys of playing with friends during the regular fall season on their rec team but also experience competitive elements such as higher level instruction, access to competitive level coaching and facilities and streamline their journey towards full competitive soccer while fostering a love for the game. Players can choose to participate in just Pre-Academy or both Pre-Academy & Rec.

Rec coaches at each age group will be informed of practice days/times for Pre-Academy and asked to avoid choosing those for practices to avoid conflicts.

TEAM ACCEPTANCE AFTER EVALUATION

All players who plan on playing in the Pre-Academy, will have the opportunity to attend evaluation sessions MAY 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th (Registration opening soon)

Program Structure (Year round with breaks over holidays)

Start Date: All groups will start in June with a break from June 24th to July 7th for the holidays through until Thanksgiving. Spring calendar will be given at the end of fall.

U7 (2018/2019)

• Summer, fall - Two practices per week & 4v4 play date schedule for the fall coordinated in-house

• Spring - Two practices per week & 4v4 or 5v5 play date schedule for the fall coordinated in-house or with other local clubs

Uniforms

All U7 and U6 players will be required to purchase an adidas uniform package consisting of 2 Jerseys (Navy & White), 1 pair of shorts (Navy) and 1 pair of socks (Navy) (Est $110 plus tax & shipping)

All U6 players will be required to purchase an adidas uniform package consisting of 1 Jerseys (Navy), 1 pair of shorts (Navy) and 1 pair of socks (Navy) (Est total $80 plus tax & shipping)

The Rocklin FC Pre-Academy is open to all players and does not operate on a tryout basis, as the season evolves the player cohorts will be assessed and practices/potential rostering will be done by player level to keep it competitive.

At U8 it is recommended that players entering the program for the first time do have prior soccer experience based on the level of play.
