We are currently working our way through Fall 2020 refunds. Unfortunately, the registration system does not allow for instant credit card refunds and the process can take up to 2 weeks from the time we request the refund. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
As you are all aware, COVID-19 has created significant uncertainty in youth sports and the 2020 Fall recreational soccer season. We have been working diligently to develop a plan to bring soccer to those families and players who desire to participate this season. After many hours of planning, we are pleased to present to you our plans for the 2020 Rocklin FC Rec Season.
Based upon CalNorth guidance, the California Department of Public Health Interim Guidance issued August 3, 2020 and the Interim Guidance for Distanced Athletic Conditioning and Drills established by Placer County, Rocklin FC plans to move forward with a MODIFIED 2020 RECREATIONAL SEASON. The season will consist of
While we hope that games will eventually be added to the season; It is still unclear whether any actual game will be permitted to be played. In the event the state and local authorities authorize games to be played prior to Thanksgiving, we will work with other local clubs (Granite Bay, Loomis and Lincoln) to schedule games. Any games played will be limited to 4 v 4 or 7 v 7 (even for teams that should be playing 9 v 9 and 11 v 11).
This program is for U8 – U19 teams only. If your player is a U6 or U7 player, we apologize that we were not able to put a program together for the age groups. We will keep you posted on upcoming Grassroots opportunities. We will begin reimbursing your accounts per the COVID Refund Policy (registration reimbursed less a $10 fee to cover expenses that we incur upon registration) immediately but please allow us a week to complete this process.
We know that many of you will have questions about fees for this program. That is understandable. We have developed a fee schedule that we think is more than fair.
FEE STRUCTURE
No additional fees will be collected in order to participate in the modified program. The registration fees that you paid when you registered will be applied to the new Fall 2020 season format. Additionally, we are providing a reimbursement plan in the event that games are not or only partially able to be played.
Rocklin FC will reimburse you (at seasons end) for each game of the normal 10 game season that is not played. The rate will be $5 a game as a reimbursement or $7 a game as a roll over credit for next season, your choice. That means:
If your child does not wish to participate in the modified program offered, you must opt out and request a refund no later than by August 20, 2020. The refund will be your registration fees less a $25 admin fee as per the Refund Policy agreed to at registration. The link to do so is here: opt-out now for your refund.
Those that do not opt out prior to August 20, 2020, will not be permitted to request a refund of registration fees later simply because no games were played. This is because Rocklin FC will incur registration fees, field rental fees and other costs for those players participating in the modified season.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this crazy time and hope that you know that Rocklin FC is doing everything it can to provide an opportunity for our players to participate in some form of soccer this season. We hope that you will join us!
Rocklin FC Recreational Soccer provides Rocklin youth the opportunity to learn and play the game of soccer. The program is a volunteer run program and open to boys and girls born between the years of 2002-2015. The season consists of 10 games starting in late August and approximately 2 practices a week starting in late July.
If you are interested in coaching, please make sure you fill out the coaching profile when registering your player or contact us at recregistrar@rocklinfc.org.
We look forward to a great season with you and your soccer player.
Teams are comprised through the consideration of many factors. They are primarily, but not limited to:
Each coach shall keep with him/her an official team roster listing all active players for that season.
The following roster minimum / maximums will be followed:
No team roster will be changed without prior approval from the Club Registrar. Amended rosters will be sent out to the head coach once a change has been authorized. This includes, but is not limited to, any add, transfer or removal of players or coaches.
If a transfer is granted between teams after the official roster has been submitted to CYSA then the player will incur a transfer fee as set forth by District VI and Rocklin FC rec fees & policies. Proper transfer forms must be completed by both the releasing team and the team receiving the transferee. Forms and guidelines may be obtained by the Club Registrar.
No team name can be changed after official rosters have been handed out. Team names are chosen prior to the beginning of the season. No duplicate names shall be used in the Club. This allows for clarification in all club information which names are used (schedules, pictures, sponsorships, etc.).
Practice begins in late July, and will be held at a park or school in Rocklin. Practice times, days, and locations will be requested by coaches and determined by the Club. Players will be contacted in mid July directly by their coaches regarding practice times and locations. Players are unable to request a certain practice time or location at time of registration as these are assigned directly to coaches after the rosters have already been finalized. Coaches may start practice as early as July 22 , others may wait until August, or after school starts. Most coaches practice twice per week on a weeknight 4, 5, 6 or 7pm. Some coaches go to only one practice per week once games start, and some stop practicing during week near or after daylight savings time. Older teams may decide to continue to practice twice per week throughout.
Games
Soccer games are held on Saturdays, beginning August 24th and run through November. After the first five games there is a break weekend and then five more games. Most games will be played in Rocklin, Roseville, Loomis, Granite Bay and Lincoln. The U16 and U19 age groups play in the Community Playing League that is governed and run by District VI. In the U16 and U19 age groups more travel is required as CPL encompasses all leagues within District VI.
Uniforms are to be purchased by the player. Kombat Soccer carries our current Rocklin FC rec soccer uniforms.
